Horchata drink recipes can be made both with and without sugar. It all depends on your preference. To make this recipe even healthier, only added just almond milk and omitted the instant yeast. Horchata basically is a very sweet Mexican drink made using brown rice, cinnamon sticks, and white rice soaking overnight in water.

Horchata tastes delicious when made with fresh berries. You may use frozen berries or just fresh ones. Horchata can also be made with instant yeast but I find it difficult to do. Instead of instant yeast, I use 1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder and mix it with enough milk to create a thick batter.

The main ingredients for a horchata drink recipe are instant yeast, cinnamon sticks, brown rice, sugar, milk, and Chila orchard. If you are looking for a good mixer, you should buy a high-quality blender that uses blades with a wide opening. To add the ingredients to a glass, fill up a glass with cold water and place the sticks, sugar, and yeast in the water. Stir to mix them all and let it rest for about twenty minutes. Then, using a food processor or a blender, blend the ingredients until it becomes smooth.

Horchata recipes usually indicate adding a few drops of vanilla extract into the mixture. For my Horchata drink recipe, I used two teaspoons of vanilla extract. The reason why I used two teaspoons is that three or four drops of vanilla extract can make the drink too bitter. For better taste, use one teaspoon instead. You can also add other ingredients, such as nuts, to the mix.

Put the ingredients into a saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once you have done that, turn the heat down and cover the pan. Let it stand for about twenty minutes so the sugar can easily dissolve. Then, use a food processor or a blender to mix well with the mixture.

When it comes to horchata drinks recipes, authenticity is the most important aspect. As I mentioned earlier, they like to keep the tradition alive. While they may copy the drinks of other countries, they make sure that the true essence of the drink is still there.
